The Rockhouse is an eclectic, American cafe located at 4000 Rte. 11 in Wolfe County, KY, in the heart of the Red River Gorge! With regular menu items that patrons can count on being there everyday, we'll also focus on unique and varied daily specials that are delicious, good for you, and made with high quality ingredients (local and organic whenever possible). With ample indoor seating, a carry out area with stand-up bar, and an outdoor patio; you and your friends will have plenty of options while enjoying one of about 25 different beers.
A 14 year climber, Aaron was based out of So iLL, working seasonally in Yosemite, and traveling around the country, living simply, and following his passion. Currently a professional photographer in Chicago, Aaron longs to return to the country and live and climb in the Red River Gorge with his partner, Tina and their daughter, Ayla.
Tina Carter, a nationally recognized photographer, previously lived in Kentucky while pursuing her Bachelor's and Masters' Degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Peregrine Falcon Ecology at the University of Kentucky. She learned how to climb in the Red and looks forward to returning to Kentucky to raise Ayla and enjoy the community of the Red River Gorge!
A brewer extraordinaire, total computer nerd, rock climber for years, and even better friend, August is the Rockhouse's first full time employee!
A friend of ours for years, Rob is an avid fisherman, climber, and beer brewer. Coming off years of working in Yosemite, Rob is enjoying the RRG for all it's worth.
A climber of 14 years, Chad enjoys getting away from the city and climbing at the Red as often as possible. Chad is our close friend and his belief in us and our abilities and his love of the Red and good food, has allowed this dream to take shape and take off!
